Design Wall Monday - June 20

Here is what's on my design wall today.  A few more links are done, and you can see all my fabric strips pinned to the wall.  I decided it would be easiest to make this quilt if I cut and placed all the rings first.  Then I could be sure I kept a nice distribution of the colours, and I wouldn't run out half-way through.

The squares aren't too stable on my wall, so I need to start sewing rows together (which means cutting out my setting triangles).  Otherwise, I'll have my entire quilt on the floor and I'll have to put the puzzle pieces together again.

In addition to this project, I now have 2 quilts backed and basted.  Hopefully I'll get to them sometime this week.

  4. Good plan to get all the rings made first--then most of the decision making is out of the way when it is time to sew. Looking very pretty.

  5. It's going to be a wonderful quilt. I can see how it could become a puzzle if you don't keep the blocks on the wall and sew things together as you make the blocks--you have some good ideas on how to do that.

  6. I fought with several quilts that had pieces that would randomly fall off the wall. No fun. Then one day the dogs came into the sewing room............

glen: growing, I am still loving it!
