Square in a Square

This is a step from one of my guild mysteries.  I bought this star fabric in 3 colours (red , black,  and cream) some time ago,  and the amounts were just right for this mystery. Hopefully I'll be happy with the colours when it is all done.

En Provence step 6

Here it is.  Step 6 of Bonnie Hunter's en Provence mystery. Along with all the pretty trimmings that came from it.  I'm thinking I really should try to pick up the companion angle ruler. I love my easy angle,  so I'm sure I could get used to that one to.  And as Bonnie says,  all those pretty trimmings cost a pretty penny, at $18 Canadian a yard.

Moving on to the next step.  Bonnie gave us a pile of work in the reveal.  I'm going to call that steps 7,8 and 9, so that I don't feel so bad when it takes me three weeks to finish them :)

I'm linking up over at Bonnie's linkup today.

All Caught Up

I did it!  Finished step 3 of the Peace,  Love,  Quilt mystery. Since I did steps 4, 5, and 6 earlier, that gets me all caught up. A whole week before the next clue comes out. Now I can just sit back and admire the pretty pink blocks,  and wonder how they are all going to go together.  I can't recall how long this mystery is supposed to run,  so I have no idea how close to the end we might be.

Now I'm working on step 6 of Bonnie's en Provence mystery. Lots of quarter square triangles to make there, in two different colour sets

More PLQ Mystery

This is step 6 of the PLQ mystery. Lots of 2.5" squares used here,  and these blocks finish at 4x8".  It will be interesting to see how these go with the 5" blocks from the previous step.

I'm having lots of fun this week catching up on my mysteries. Next up,  Bonnie Hunter some the reveal for that one came out on the first.

PLQ Mystery

Another mystery I'm working on. This one comes from a Facebook group "Peace,  Love,  Quilt"  Clues come out twice a month,  on the 1st and 15th so I have some hope of staying up to date here.  Of course,  I'm already behind,  having skipped clue 3 completely.

But here are  clue 4 & 5 put together. 5" finished blocks, all made up in pinks and cream.

I'm working on 4 different mysteries right now , and 3 of them (including this one ) are being made from sets of fabric I bought our collected thinking "I can do something with those".  In this case, I bought a fat quarter pack of pinks and added some I had sitting around, thinking I'd make a pink quilt one day. That never happened,  but it seemed like a good grouping of fabric for this mystery quilt.
