I took my sewing machine in service last week. Since I can't do any sewing for a couple of weeks, it seemed like a good time to get it tuned up - especially since the last tune-up was over 2 years ago. My timing was pretty good - or bad, depending on how you look at it. Good for upcoming projects, but bad for my pocketbook and stash. The local fabric store which services my machine was having a birthday sale. How could I resist?
I left with fabric for a new quilt
And backing for the current one. Some of the blocks for that one are pictured
here.
So, my stash is up by 11 3/4 yards this week.
Overall, 11.75 yards in, 8.5 yards out.
Net for the year: 3.25 yards in.

Judy's blog to see what everyone else has been up to.
Very pretty fabrics. Since one is for a quilt back, hopefully it will go out before to long and let you get back into the black.
ReplyDeleteNice Birthday Sale! Hey, you might try to schedule your services...my place will let you do that so that when they are ready to work on it I can take it in then; they'll service it and I can usually pick it up that same day. Very little down time. Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteSo hard to resist birthday sales. At least you were good and have a plan for the fabric...I just buy cause I like it...lol.
ReplyDeleteNice choices!
