I put the border on my latest quilt last night. Then I hung it back up on the design wall to
admire it check that everything looked good. I wanted to make sure I had the corner blocks going in the right direction. Yep, all good.
I was letting my eyes follow the lines, and they came to a screeching halt, right here.
Rats. One block turned sideways. How did I miss that? I guess the seam ripper will be coming out tonight.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh it happens ...lol. Be glad you saw it now.
ReplyDeleteBut as the Amish say, 'nobody is perfect, except God' so a 'mistake' in a quilt.....just pretend you did it on purpose, like the Amish do! It's really not noticeable
ReplyDeleteThank goodness you saw it before it was layered and quilted. Just shows there is a lot to be said for standing back to admire it (check it out).lol
ReplyDeleteThis seems to happen to me with every quilt I make! I've learned to piece the top and leave it hanging on the design wall for a few days. Also seems to help to take a picture and look at the picture on the computer.
ReplyDeleteHate it when that happens! Usually I only find it after it's quilted and it's too late to fix it.
