I finished a quilt at the sew-in day last weekend. I just had the borders left to do, so I figured I'd knock that out quickly and get a good start on a new quilt. Apparently borders take a lot longer than I thought, and 3 hours later I finally finished it. 8.5 yards used.
I also put binding on 2 baby quilts - 3/4 yards used
My weekly quilt store trip, to pick up the block of the week had typical results. More fabric came home with me. At least this time it was from the 50% off bin. 5 yards in.
Total this week - once again in the black. 4 1/4 yards used.
Stash totals for the year:
424 1/4 yards in
104 1/4yards out
Total: 320 yards in
Drop by Judy's blog for more stash reports.
It couldn't have been the conversation and hi-jinks that usually accompany a sew-in, huh? Your quilts are always interesting, very graphic.
ReplyDeleteBorders take me a long time too. I count on 20-30 minutes a side, depending on whether I have to rip anything out to get the seams going in the right direction.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully graphic quilt! Love the colors too.
ReplyDeleteI love this quilt. The cat detail is nice...lol.
ReplyDeleteYour colors are great on this quilt! And I guess I'm not the only one who likes it....
