It's been a good fabric usage week.
2 yards - backing for "Think Outside the Box" - now renamed
4 1/4 yards - August colour challenge
Today, I'm have a quilting day. Judy's quilt-a-thon last weekend inspired me, and since I didn't get as much done as I hoped, I'm doing it again today. Slight crimp in the plans, as I discovered that my current block of the month has 1/2 the connecting blocks sewn together in mirror image :( The debate - redo the wrong ones, or use a slightly different layout and call it design intent. What do you think?
Picture 1 or Picture 2 (the blue/red in the top row is mirrored in each picture).
Stash usage this year:
114 3/4 yards out
Hop over to Patchwork Times to see what everyone else has been up to.
They look exactly the same - Maybe I don't understand...
ReplyDeleteIn the upper row, the dark/light in each quarter of the block are reversed. I agree, not really noticeable unless you know what to look for. But I'm afraid a quilt with random placings of the different orientations would show the difference quite markedly.
DeleteEnjoy your sewing day. If it's not noticable in these 3 blocks, I don't think it will matter, your color changes are not dramatic between the light and the dark, maybe if it was different colors it would show up more.

ReplyDeleteI don't think anyone but you will notice (unless you tell!)
ReplyDeleteDon't change...almost every quilt I have ever done has a flaw. Some put in a flaw deliberately because only God is perfect. It really doesn't show. I had to study it hard to see it even with you pointing it out! Lynne in Hawaii
