Coming together

All the blocks are made for my Allietare quilt.  I just have to press the last 5 purple ones and the setting triangles, then I can start assembling this quilt.

Then I'm going to have to work out borders and backing. I might have to make a trip to the fabric store for that, although I'd rather avoid it if possible.  bionnie used a thin gold border (purple for me) and then a black print for a wide border.  Black's not going to work for me, I don't think.  I probably have enough of my turquoise to use that for a border, so that might be an option.

In the meantime, I'm still plugging away on my mysteries, in between Allietare steps. Just borders to go, on 2 them.  I think I'm going to join Red Letter Quilts OMG linkup this year. And my first goal, for January, will be to finish assembly on this top, including borders and get it ready for quilting.

  5. I do love how Bonnie Hunter designs such amazing quilts and breaks them down into easy units. When following her mysteries, I'm always amazed at the end results. You choose an amazing color palette for yours, it really does look fabulous.

  6. I can't get over how much this looks like a tile floor -- which is probably what inspired BH in the first place. Great job!
